For public-sector deployments, the review question is rarely 'does it work'. It is 'what does it collect, where does it live, who can see it, and for how long'.
Non-imaging sensing gives a short and verifiable answer to the first part, which makes the rest of the review tractable.
What a procurement package should contain
- Documented sensing modalities and what each one produces
- Data flow diagrams including any edge processing boundary
- Hosting and residency options, including Canadian-hosted deployment
- Retention configuration, RBAC model and audit log specification
- A pilot scope with defined success metrics before any scale commitment
